Student Assistant (f/m/d)
The Institute for Computational Genomics performs research on computational methods for the analysis of gene expression, cell - cell interaction, epigenetic and regulatory mechanisms and their role in dynamical processes such as cell differentiation, aging, and the onset of diseases.
We are looking for a motivated student assistant to support the implementation of a research project. This involves the use of graph algorithms to analyze cell-cell interaction networks. Subsequent employment in the working group, e.g., in the context of a master dissertation, is possible.
Start date: as soon as possible
Duration: 12 months
Workload: 9 hrs/week
Your tasks
- Improve the implementation and tutorials of our Python tool NicheSphere
- Make this implementation compatible with the Scverse guidelines
Your profile
- Best practices in software development
- Python programming
Requirements
- A valid certificate of study in Computer Science/Bioinformatics
- For international students: valid residence certificate, work permit, registration certificate
